Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial arts artist who is a part of the UFC within the Flyweight Division. She is in the midst of in the Flyweight Division. Shevchenko is the elder sister of her former UFC Flyweight champion and fellow UFC participant Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as a Muay Thai boxer. She first made an appearance in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Mill in the finals with a unanimous vote. Antonina continued to win and received a silver award in 2007 a bronze medal in 2008 a gold medal in the year 2011 and the title of year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia began her professional life in 2003, and she won in the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in the year 2016. Antonina's final bout took place at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She took victory by unanimity. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She won through TKO at the end of second round. She was able to take home two more fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. It gave her three wins in her MMA career. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA in order to focus on kickboxing. She returned to the ring to fight Anissa Haddaoui during Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa with a majority decision. She then defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. In 2018, she resigned from the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was defeated by Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina Shevchenko defeated Nievera thanks to her impressive strike power in the clinch by her knees against her body. Antonina's UFC contract was extended in the wake of the win. Antonina was offered her a UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko was victorious through a unanimous win, however she fell in her following fight against Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision.
